Course overview

The ultimate objective of a supervisor is to maximise the potential of the people they manage.  As a supervisor you need to align individual’s skills in order to deliver the requirements of the business.  This managing people module deals with practical techniques to help achieve that objective.

The aim of the training for managers course

Now more than ever, having a clear understanding of how an organisation ticks and how employees function are essential. With many businesses adjusting to new measures inflicted by the pandemic, we are in a transitional stage where hybrid and flexible working are becoming the new norm.

Effective leadership will be key in helping employees ease into the new way of working life. They will also be in a better position to review the well-being of staff who are struggling to adjust to new working conditions.

In this course, we will teach you core topics such as SMART plans, coaching skills and situational leadership, all of which are essential in the modern workplace. Managers will learn to maximise their own performance and in doing so will be able to pass on what they have learned to those around them.

This module will cover a range of content that will help managers to broaden their skillsets and hone a variety of skills. From learning the seven habits of highly effective people to understanding how to manage conflict, we will explore practical skills that have real value in the workplace.

On the day, a colour printed workbook with techniques, tips and space for notes will be available to all delegates. Delegates will be encouraged to ask questions and think of ways that each aspect of the training for managers course applies to their own working environment.
